Behind the music

20+ years. Countless good nights.

For more than two decades, CHIEF has been part of the live-entertainment world, working across venues, events, and all kinds of crowds.

With a background in communications and audio production from Ohio University, his experience extends beyond selecting the next track.

It’s about sound. Timing. Reading the room. And understanding what brings people together.

From his years performing in Put-in-Bay to appearances connected with larger music events, CHIEF has built his career around sharing positive energy through music.

He lives and works in Port Clinton, so the Lake Erie shore and the islands aren’t a road trip. They’re home.

And the next party is always another chance to do it.

Where is CHIEF based?

Port Clinton, Ohio. He spends the summer season playing Put-in-Bay and takes bookings along the Lake Erie shore and beyond. Tell him where your event is when you reach out.

What kinds of events does CHIEF play?

Weddings, private parties, bars and clubs, special events, MC and hosting gigs, trivia nights, karaoke and video DJ sets. He’s played clubs, bars, pools, beaches, boats and backyards.

What kind of music does he play?

Pop and Top 40, EDM, hip-hop, rock, reggae and country, plus the songs nobody saw coming. The mix is built around your crowd and the energy of the night.

Does CHIEF bring his own sound system?

His setup includes professional JBL and QSC PA systems and DJ gear from Pioneer DJ, Rane and Technics, running Serato and VirtualDJ. Mention what your event needs when you reach out.

Can CHIEF MC or host, not just DJ?

Yes. Beyond the decks he works as an MC and event host, and he has hosted trivia and karaoke nights on the island.
